I eat crayons
The toxins aid in my creativity
Then I wash them down with the nectar of automobiles
Brains made of circuitry
Grown with radiation
The free market is kind of expensive
Earth is so bright, I can’t see the stars
The bird builds but a humble nest
But you, YOU build buildings that scrape the sky bloody with pollution,
I close my eyes and hold my breath
Clouds of fire, the bloody rain spills out
God bleeds his weeping eyes empty
While I cried out to a drunken sky on fire,
he slowly blinked out the stars
But from the clouds of flame emerged a phoenix
To which I rode upon his back
Through the wildersky I discovered
A future of fire, famine, flooding and disease
This near future where everyone needs a mask just to breath
Through the desert I traversed on the back of a camel
Beneath the camel’s feet lies snow, not sand, wait no it’s ash
The ashes of my loved ones
mixed with remnants of truth
The Great Judge bangs his great hammer and I am sent to the fiery inferno
Looks like I was no better than the rest of them.
Too fearful to make a sound,
the tiny dragon tip-toed past the mighty mouse
Forgetting her size and her strength, she creeps forward
I saved my already dying mother from the tracks of a train that instead hit ten strangers
Then she pulled out a pistol and shot me for letting ten strangers die
The fiery inferno is now my home
They call cancer the silent killer
but I didn’t hear the gun sound when it took my life
I cut off all my guitar strings and tie them together to form a rope that I string from my window
I slide down the rope onto my front lawn
My hands bloodied from the nickel guitar strings;
at least it’s not my ears.
By the time you hear this you will have gone deaf from the smell of burning oil
